End of the Year Teacher Gift – Under $10!

I found this idea online, and LOVED it!  So, I decided to use it as a gift for our 1st Grader’s teacher this year!  I thought it was a perfect gift for a 1st Grade Teacher.

COMPONENTS:

1 – small box of crayons (I had some from the $.25 school deals last year!)

1 – 10X10 shadow frame (I found this at Target for $7.99)

1 – 12 X 12 scrapbooking paper

Aubrey told me her teacher’s favorite color was PURPLE.  So, I pulled a piece of textured sparkly purple scrapbook paper from my stash.

I used the tutorial and template at Rainy Tuesday Mornings to help me get my layout started.  Then, I started picking out the crayons to make the G!

I used a quick drying craft glue to secure the crayons.  Then, used a black sharpie marker to personalize the gift with the teacher’s name.

For the back, we took a picture of Aubrey with her teacher – went over to www.crayola.com/colorme and turned it into a coloring page.  I had Aubrey color it – then write a message below the picture.

This gift was under $10.  I hope the teacher likes it!  I love that Aubrey added a little message, I think it makes the gift that much sweeter!

P.S.  Yes, if you look close, there are rebate forms under the frame on my counter.  That is on my list “TO DO” today!

May your day be ‘just frugalicious’!

Kim,
I made two of these last night. Thanks for the great idea. My kids loved them and I am sure that their teachers will too. Mine aren't half as cute as yours though.

So glad you could use the idea! I am sure your's are sooooo cute, too! I haven't heard from Aubrey's teacher, but I sure hope she liked it! I always wonder what to do for them, and I thought this was so sweet!
