Addison’s – Frugalicious New Dress

Sometimes making your own clothes can be frugalicious!

Sometimes, it isn’t.

I didn’t keep good track of the expenses on this dress, but I would estimate it to have cost about $15 for the fabric and thread.  In a boutique, I would guess that the cost of a dress like this would be about $40 or so…….

I love to sew – especially for the kids – and when we can do a dress for $15 is is a win/win situation!

I just finished this dress for Addison last night!

She was up early to try it on this morning!

Here are some pictures of her modeling the new dress:

My your day be ‘just frugalicious’!

Love it.. I miss the days of sewing dresses for my girls. They are all grown up now. I guess I will have to wait to see if they ever have girls I can sew for.

Thanks ANON and PKowis! It is truly a joy to see her so excited about wearing what I have made! She was so antsy when she went to bed last night because she knew I was planning on finishing it for her to wear today! She asked me to put it on the end of her bed for when she woke up this morning! She is so sweet and said, "Thanks for the pretty dress, Mom."
