I got this with my SWAGBUCKS!

I love to get new Kitchen Gadgets!

Tami told me about the great price of $62.99 for this AWESOME gadget!  I checked it out today!  My husband and I combined our Amazon e-gift cards from SWAGBUCKS to purchase this product from AMAZON.  We paid a total of $22 (after taxes, $40 in SWAGBUCKS e-gift cards for Amazon, etc.)

Then, the FABULOUS thing is this $20 REBATE FORM!  We will get $20 back for our purchase!

So, let’s do the math!  This CUISINART gadget will cost me $2 OOP once we get the rebate back!

Thanks, DH, for being so kind to share your SWAGBUCKS Amazon e-cards with me!

I LOVE SWAGBUCKS!

Thanks, Tami!

And, there are two more spots to get these coupons!  Go here AND here for more coupons for these items!

The Catalina Deal:

Buy 4 and get $2
Buy 5 and get $3
Buy 6 and get $4

Here is what I did.  There were no crescent rolls on the shelf (boo hoo!)  But, I did get Grands and Cinnamon Rolls!

I did three different transactions at self check out.  It was super slow tonight – so they let me just ring them up there and they took care of all my coupons!

My transactions were this:

4 – cinnamon rolls

2 – grands biscuits

I used these coupons:

2 – $.50/1 (these were printables from last month – are no longer available)

1 - $1/2 Pillsbury Sweet Rolls

1 – $.30/2 Pillsbury Grands Biscuits

My total OOP was $2.10.  I received a $4 OYNO catalina at the end of my transaction!

So, I made $1.90 on each of my transactions!

(Thanks, Karla, for the heads up!)

Walgreens Diaper Run

WAGS_012510

Well, there was a bit of a scare at our house the past week!  We were getting low on diapers!  The last time I bought them they were nearly free at Walgreens…..and I wasn’t about to pay anywhere close to retail price for them now!

This week Walgreens has a Huggies Diaper Deal.  Buy $25 in participating products receive $5 RR.  There are $2/1 printables HERE.  If you have the Walgreens Coloring Book, there is a $1/1 coupon for Huggies in it!  The jumbo packages are $8.99 this week.  Here is how it works:

$26.97 -  WYB  3 packages of Huggies @ $8.99 ea

- $6 – When you use 3 - $2/1 Huggies coupons (when you have printed your limit there, you can check your 11/17 SS inserts – there should be lower value coupons there)

- $3 – When you use $1/1 Walgreens Coloring Book Coupon (will deduct $1 each for your three packages of diapers for a total of $3)

EQUALS:  $17.97

RECEIVE: $5 RR

Price per package (after RRs / Coupons):  $4.32

Now, I must say that this is a bit higher than I would like to pay, but seeing that we are nearly out, I figure I better get a few packages while I can get them at this price!

The other items pictured:

2 Neosporins:  2/$8 (use 2 - $1/1 Neosporin MQs from 1/3 RP AND use $2/1 Wags Coloring book coupon) Earn $3 RR WYB 2.  ($1 MM)

2 – Pert Plus for MEN: 2/$5 (use 2 - $1.50/1 from 1/24 SS) Earn $2 RR WYB 2 (FREE after RRs)

2 – Sure Deodorants for Men:  (use 2 - $1.50/1 from 1/24 SS AND Wags in AD coupon) (FREE after coupons)

3 – Reach Dental Floss:  (use 3 - $1/1 from 1/3 RP AND Wags in AD coupon)  (FREE after coupons)

5 – Valentines Day Pencils (use Wags in AD coupon $5/1)  These were my fillers b/c I paid for this transaction with RRs.  I needed these so that my quantity of items was equal to or greater than the number of coupons I was using!

Total Numbers:

Used:  $22 in RRs

Paid:  $.94 in cash

Earned: $10 in RRs

FINAL SPENT:  after RRs are figured:  $12.94

Randalls Run 1/23/09

How did I get this much stuff for $2.65?  Oh, let me share!

IMG_7758

1st:  I started with $12 in Catalinas (these were from when I shopped at the Randall’s Closing sale and bought the Nature Valley Nut Clusters and Granola Bars and a Philadelphia Cream Cheese Catalina from the night before this shopping trip (see below).

2nd: I participated in two different Catalina deals on this trip:  The Buy 5 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks get $3.50 back (did this 1 time) and buy 5 participating Kraft Products, get $5 Catalina (did this 3 times) on this trip.

3rd:  I loaded my Cellfire and Shortcuts coupons!  There were available for the Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks, BC Warm Delights & Cookie Mix, & Fiber One Muffins.

4th:  Gathered my coupons.  There were printable coupons for the Cinnamon Toast Crunch, BC Fruit Snacks, Annies Mac & Cheese.  I had a peelie for $.75/1 Eggs WYB BC Cookie Mix.  There was a $.55/1 Sargento cheese in the All You Magazine for December.

5th:  The big one was the Philadelphia Cream Cheese!  (Thanks ZM).  I had $1.25/3 coupons from a promotional flyer.  Randalls just came out with a booklet titled ‘Make It Tonight’ Simple Affordable Meals.  It has a picture of a plate of meatloaf and mashed potatoes on the front cover.  It has a $.75/1 Philadelphia Cream Cheese coupon in it.  Plus, there is a Catalina deal WYB 5 you get $5 Catalina OYNO.  So, I paid $2.35 for 5 packages and got $5 Catalina back!

6th:  Goldfish Crackers are $.88 (only yesterday and today)!  I didn’t have any coupons for those, but it is a great price, so I used some of my catalinas from my transactions to purchase the Goldfish.

7th:  I have $10 in Catalinas left!

8th:  I spent $2.65 in cash.  If you factor in the Catalinas, my total spend was $4.65 for all of this!

ATTN: HOUSTON READERS: 50% off @ Randalls

The Randalls Store located at 9503 Jones Road is CLOSING its doors.  They have announced 50% OFF of everything in THAT PARTICULAR store.  NO EXCLUSIONS!!  (thanks to a very special friend for telling me about this!)  This just started at 8am Wednesday.  They said they will be restocking tonight for business tomorrow!

So, as an avid couponer, I had to venture out.  And, I really didn’t want to do it with three kids in tow.  So…..I headed out after they went to sleep tonight.

PREPARATION:

I really didn’t have a chance to prepare.  All I did was load everything I could onto my Randalls card (cellfire & shortcuts).  And, I took all of my hanging file folders of coupons and popped them into a rubbermaid hanging file folder container.  And, off I went!

CRAZINESS:

I arrived to the store and there were no carts to be had.  (PS.  My coupon container weighed about 40 lbs).  I carried it around the store until I finally got smart and asked two nice ladies that were checking out if I could help them to their car so that I would be able to snag their cart when they were finished!

Then, I was ready.  For the craziness!!

For those of you who shopped SUPER DOUBLES……ummmmm…..it was about twice as bad as that…..lines, people……YIKES!

THE PLAN:

As I say, I didn’t have much time to prepare for the event…..so, I went in thinking I would for sure grab what I knew would be FREE:  Nature Valley Nut Clusters ($3.50 catalina deal + printable + cellfire), GLADE Candles (using blinkie coupons for FREE refills and $1.50/1 for FREE candles).

In addition to FREE items, I was also hunting for items that I didn’t have a stockpile of….and ones that I hadn’t been able to score for FREE since I began couponing over a year ago:  Playtex Tampons, Olive Oil, Cooking Spray, to name a few……

NICE PEOPLE:

There were some VERY friendly people I met while I was there.  One informed me of the Catalina deal with the BC Fruit Snacks.   Pairing the $1.50 Catalina deal with my loadable coupons made it a pretty good deal – I wish I would have had my printable coupons for those!

Another reminded me of the 200 Calorie DiGiorno coupon I had printed today! (thanks jane4girls)  That made for FREE pizza!  YIPPEE!

Another ran to get Olive Oil as I clipped coupons when we were getting close to the cashier!

It was so much fun meeting everyone who was shopping!  Such nice people!

FRUGALICIOUS FINDS:

So, here are all my goodies!

RANDALLS_50off

Ok, a nice surprise this morning was to find the insert in the Sunday morning paper for Walgreens.  There is a new Walgreens at Pin Oak and Kingsland.  As a celebration of their GRAND OPENING, they have an added cover to the main Walgreens ad.

The added cover contains:

$3/10 Purchase

$25 Gift Card for a NEW or TRANSFERRED RX (good for 4 weeks!)

Imagine my excitement!  That just made the J&J Rebate that much better!  WOO!  HOO!  As my oldest daughter would say!

There are a few other deals that would also work great with this $3/10 coupon!

ITEM PRICE Coupon Total OOP / RR Earned

A new FUN project, I hope!

Everyone has hear of Neilsen, right?  Well, they have a program called HOMESCAN.  And, we finally were accepted – we were on the waiting list for a scanner for about a year.  One finally opened up – and here we are!

About HOMESCAN

Homescan focuses on measuring consumer attitudes and behavior. The panel is made up of people just like you, whose opinions help manufacturers and retailers make decisions on what products to develop or improve.

Homescan is a part of The Nielsen Company, the world's leading marketing information provider.

The Homescan® Consumer Panel is a "mini-U.S.A.," representing millions of Americans. By scanning the barcodes on their purchases and completing fun surveys, panelists truly make their opinions count in the consumer marketplace.

To become a member GO HERE to complete the online registration.

I will keep you posted on how it goes.  It is going to add an entirely new layer to the shopping process.  I just read that I have to tell my scanner what coupons I used on what items.  That should be lots of fun!

The cool thing is – is that you get points for doing projects….and those points earn you cool prizes.

Again, I will keep you updated and maybe it will peek your interest about HOMESCAN!

May your day be ‘just frugalicious’!

New Coupons at Red Plum

Hot new coupons are out on Red Plum!  Be sure to go check them out!  The Viactiv is a high dollar coupon ($2/1) that when combined with a possible sale + promotion will be a great one to have on hand!

Caregiver’s Marketplace

There are so many ways to save money – in addition to all those great coupons that are out there!  We participate in the Caregiver’s Marketplace Program!  Caregiver’s Marketplace is “the nation's first cash back program for anyone who gives, gets or needs care. You can receive cash back on eligible products that are not typically covered by insurance or Medicare – no matter where you buy them. I just did my final cash back form for 2009.  I am getting $7.50 back for purchasing 10 packages of Huggies Diapers.  This is a great way to get money back for items you use no matter what!  Who couldn’t use $.75 back on each package of Huggies they buy??

For 2010, they will not be including Huggies in their list of eligible products, but these products will be included:  Cottonelle, Balmex, Oasis, Benzodent, Aspercreme, IcyHot, Gold Bond, Kaopectate, Poise, Surfak, Depends, and Cortizone-10.

Cloudy with a Chance….of Meatballs!

Large Image

I haven’t checked the price of this DVD at Randalls, but this might be a pretty good deal:

Buy the movie at Randalls and use the $3/1 RP Printable

Go to the Ronzoni and fill out a customized rebate form. Be sure to do it now, sometimes they only offer them for a certain amount of time.  Purchasing 2 participating products by 3/31/10 will get you a $4 rebate!

And, Randalls will give you Hershey's Pieces 10 to 10.5 oz Selected Varieties., Nabisco Oreo Cookies 9.6 to 18 oz Oreo Fun Stix 5 oz Selected Varieties., & a 2-Liter A&W Or Sunkist.

All this could make for a good movie night by the fire – brrrr….. it is getting cold down here in Texas!!

Thanks, Common Sense with Money for the Ronzoni rebate info!

99 Cent Store / Sunday Paper Problems

Well, I am not sure about everywhere else, but it seems like there is a dispute in Houston with the Houston Chronicle and the 99 Cent Stores.  Houston Chronicle has apparently stopped servicing the 99 Cent Stores until their contract can be agreed upon by both parties.

That equals a BUM deal for us who used the 99 Cent store to get our Sunday Papers on the cheap!

So, here is to hoping that they work out their contract quickly so that we can get our papers for 99 Cents!

The paper price has gone up.  The purchase price on the paper this weekend was $2!
