Well, I took some time this weekend to organize our stockpile – so that I could better know how much of what we have in the house. I wanted to get like things together! I had cleaning supplies & soap in each bathroom and in the kitchen….. So, to know at a glance what I have, I wanted to rearrange my stockpile.
I want to remind you that I have only been shopping as an ‘extreme couponer’ since the first of the year.
Here is a list of items that I won’t need to purchase for at least 9 mths – because my current qty will get us through the next nine months:
Toothbrushes |
I am sure there are other things that I have missed, but I wanted to show you how quickly you can build a stockpile.
Having this stockpile significantly reduces my OOP each week. The key is to purchase enough at rock bottom prices to last you until it reaches rock bottom again!
May your day be ‘just frugalicious’!

Did you do the Febreze deal at CVS this week? I will have NO need to buy any for a while!
Transaction 1:
8 Noticeables on sale for $6.50 - $4.00 coupon
-$20.00 ECB from Dove and Style Science deals
=$0 OOP and received $25 ECB
Transaction 2: - Hubby's card
2 Fabric Refresher
2 Air Effects
- 2 $.50 Fabric Refresher coupons - Home Made Simple booklet
- 2 B1G1 Refresher/Air Effects coupons
=$4 OOP, received $5 ECB
Oh, Kristin! You just made me remember some things I didn't put on my list! So, I have added them! I really don't need Febreeze, but if it is going to help build my ECB's, I will definitely do it!
Thanks for the reminder! I have to gather my coupons now!
What about Glade Candles and McCormick Grill Mates and Lawry Marinades and Pampers? :D We're all stocked up on those, too.
For this week, depends on how many inserts you have. I was happy with my haul. I could dig out the receipts, but between the transactions that I did on my card and the ones on my DH's, we saved over $100 and spent .54 OOP, plus increased our ECB stash from $30 to $35.
I also did a look ahead on the I <3 CVS site to see what I need to focus on for my kids' back to school. They're bigger kids so I worry more about sending backpacks and zipper binders than ziploc bags and construction paper. I'm morally opposed to sending hand sanitizer and kleenex since that was part of my daughter's "homework" last year...
Kimberly, I love your blog. How many inserts do you get? I so wish I could have 9 months worth of laundry detergent.
Anon, Thanks for your comment! We usually get about 10-12 papers per week. But, we consider the quality of the coupons and if we think they aren't that great, we don't buy so many. For instance last weekend when there was only the P&G Insert, we ended up with only one copy. We just really didn't need anything that the coupons were for!! You will get there! It just takes time. And, remember -- at first your OOP might be higher....it will lessen as you continue to coupon / stockpile! If you ever have any questions that I can answer, be sure to let me know!
