Kroger Mega Sale - $17.65 for all this!

I ran to Kroger this AM (with three kids in tow)!  I had my shopping transactions planned (9 of them – to make the best use of my coupons).  I really wanted to get it all done – so I could do it all at once.

I ended up doing 8 of the 9 transactions!

Here is what I got:

29- Kraft Natural Cheese
7 – Sunny D Smoothie (one is in the frig – girls dove into it already)
4 – Sobe Waters
5 – Chex Mix
6 – Soft Soaps
6 – Lady’s Speed Stick Deodorant
7 – Rolaids (3 packs)
5 – Purina Dog Food – Little Bites
6 – Hartz Crunch and Clean
7 – Temptation Cat Treats

Items not part of the sale:
1 – Frenchs Mustard
1 – Kroger Mayo
1 – Kroger Syrup
1 – Kroger Dozen of Eggs
2 – Banana Bunches

Grand Total from all 8 Transactions:  $17.65

My main goal was to stock up on cheese, because we didn’t have stockpile of it.  I really didn’t “NEED” any of the other stuff at the mega sale…..they were just fillers to get my good cheese prices.  This is how I will look at it……  If I divide the total $17.65 by 29 packages of cheese, it comes to $.61 per bag of cheese.  Everything else today was FREE!  YIPPEE!

Those that know me know that we don’t have any pets!  My plan is to sell the pet stuff at a very low cost to those that might need it.  Doing this will help re-coop my price of my cheese!  I figure if I sell the pet stuff for $1 per item I will make up my total spend for today.  We will see.

Kroger Mega Sale

One thing….I realized tonight while shopping with a friend of mine – that I bought the wrong Sunny Ds.  Apparently they aren’t the smoothies.  Although all of mine say “smooth” on them.  I guess I don’t pay enough attention to SunnyDs (we have never had them) to know what is what.  My Kroger doesn’t have the Smoothies!  I guess my cashier pushed thru the SunnyDs – Karen’s refused her coupon.

May your day be ‘just frugalicious’!

  1. Is there a coupon for the cheese? I think I have 2% natural cheese coupon but I'm not sure I've seen any others. Thanks...Sheree

  2. The ones I had were $1/1 IPs from Kraft website and I had $.50/1 tearpad coupons. You might be able to find some on ebay -- if you can get them here in time!

  6. Emily -- I hunted in the ref. section for the smoothies and didn't even see a shelf tag for them -- they might not have been out yet!

Anon -- I have to do this quick -- gotta run out the door shortly -- I hope this makes sense, if not -- be sure to ask more questions! I am always willing to help!

I split my transactions to have 3 cheeses in each transaction. This was my main reason to participate in the Mega Sale, as we needed cheese in a bad way!

So, I grouped my coupons in bundles. I did three of each that would dbl/triple. For example I was: 3-Kraft $.50/1, 3-Cat Temptations $.50/1, 2-$.55/1 Sunny D, 2 - $1/1 Rolaids. This got me to my 10 qualifying items. So, a couple nights before the sale began, I organized my coupon transaction stacks. I quickly added the totals of the transaction together and I knew going into the store that I would be at or under $20 for all that I had planned to purchase.

    Does that help?

You can always email me at kimberly at wiebergmarketing dot com -- if you need additional help. I would love to help you save!

  7. Jane4Girls --

You are too funny! My friend Anne saw my post and swung by. She snagged all dog food / treats and some other goodies. She walked out with three bulging bags full of stuff and left me a check for $23. I was excited to help her with what she needed and also regain what I had spent at Kroger this week!

I think she had fun, too!

I do have 5 more bags of Temptations -- if you need them! :)
