$.50 Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner, FREE BIC Soleil, and Cheap School Supplies!

We headed out on several quick runs this AM!  On our way to get extra papers, we stopped at Dollar General to see what Electrasol Tabs were priced at there.  (at ours it is 15 ct. box for $3.00)  That is a bit high for me, but I felt guilty going in and not buying anything.  So, I used my coupon from today’s Sunday Paper Inserts ($2.50/1) and paid $.50 for the box.  I will continue to keep an eye out for Target to run them on sale and hope to get the for FREE by using the coupon.

Next, we stopped at the $.99 Store and got 10 papers.  There was a nice lady there with her coupon binder – she was informing the cashier of all the ways us crazy couponers that buy extra papers save tons of money.  I gave my blog address to both of them – hope they come by to visit!

Then we went to CVS.  I had $10 in ECBs to use.  I was hoping for several finds there…..I had a raincheck for the Always Infinity Pads -- $4/1.  My raincheck was for $4.99.  Score, no problems in redeeming my raincheck and getting 2 boxes of those.  And, I had been hunting for the BIC Soleil Razors that were clearanced for $2.99.  I had coupons for $3/1 and was happy to find 10 razors at the CVS we stopped at!  YIPPEE!  We also purchased a bunch of different school supplies.  Here is what we got and how much we paid:

Then we headed to Kroger.  We had a Raincheck for Lysol Toilet Bowl Cleaner.  I drug my feet on this one because I had so many coupons and only one raincheck.  The coupons were for $.50/1 – so that meant that I had to do three cleaners in one transaction.  Thus, splitting up the transactions.  I had enough coupons to do 17 transactions.  Ummmm….they didn’t have that many toilet bowl cleaners!  So, I went into the store and approached the nicest looking cashier.  I asked him if he would be willing to do separate transactions using my raincheck.  He said that he would!  I was so excited.  We got 18 bottles of toilet bowl cleaner.  Paid $.50 each for $9 total.  I still have a bunch of coupons and am hoping for another good sale before they expire on August 3rd!  If you come to my house and see a dirty toilet – would you slap me, PLEASE!!!!

Then we went to Walgreens for more school supplies.  I had $6 in RRs that were expiring today.  They have 2 pocket folders w/ tabs for $1/8 (using in-ad coupon).  We also took advantage of their $.99 Crayola markers – but when I got home I realized they weren’t washable!  I will be returning those!  We also got erasers.  Aubrey found a coupon for the little animal erasers (and we needed something to get us to $6) so we added 2 of those in!  We paid $.16 OOP + $6 in RRs!

All in all, I think we got a lot today for very little!  We are excited to almost be done with the school supply kit for Aubrey!

I hope that I have posted this quick enough for you to go grab some of these school deals if you need them!  CVS deals expire this Tuesday.  Remember – get rainchecks if they are out of items that you need!  CVS honors ECBs in their rainchecks!!

May your day be ‘just frugalicious’!

Target has a 20 ct (I believe) for $.99 after coupon. I am holding on to the rest of mine. Last time I used all of mine during the Randalls Living Well Promo. They ended up being right around $.25 each for the 20 ct. I was rolling the $10 catalina that we got after each transaction -- so it made it really easy to stock up on those!!
